
St. Andre Home, Inc. was founded in Maine sixty-four years ago by the Good Shepherd Sisters. We are licensed to provide a wide range of child and family services throughout the State of Maine. Welcome to St. Andre's!
St. Andre Home, Inc. sponsors a wide array of clinically based interventions for pregnant and parenting, young women. Our Outreach and Counseling Programs and Residential Services are each staffed with Master Level Social Workers who provide mental health counseling and casework services on site. Our Statewide Adoption Program provides a range of domestic and international adoption services. All services are supervised by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Specific services include
- Adoption Services
- Residential Group Care for pregnant girls, birthmothers and young women with children
- Outreach Counseling for women experiencing crisis pregnancy, those seeking adoption counseling
- Outeach Counseling for young mothers with children in need of parenting support
Our staff’s extensive experience in the field, clinical expertise, and years of case management services make St. Andre’s Residential and Outreach Counseling programs distinct from other parenting services. St. Andre Home Inc. is a private, non profit organization, all residents and clients are accepted regardless of national origin, religious belief, or ability to pay for our services.
The Good Shepherd Sisters offer leadership and guidance to support the efforts of our dedicated professional staff, talented Board Members and committed volunteers. Together we keep our commitment to the mission of St. Andre Home alive throughout the State of Maine.

St. Andre Home, Inc. is funded through contracts with Maine Department of Human Services, the Roman Catholic Diocese, local United Ways, and the private support of many faithful friends and benefactors. We are proud members member of the National Council for Adoption and the Maine Association of Group Care Providers.
